What’s the difference between SOC and SIEM?

An SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) is a technology tool that collects and analyses security data from multiple sources. A SOC (Security Operations Center) is the team and processes that use SIEM and other tools to monitor, detect, and respond to security threats. Think of SIEM as the radar system, and SOC as the team watching the radar and taking action.
